Well at least I replied, strongly implying "I don't need you"
Her first impression was atrocious and I feel more alone as a result.
Like I'm not worth getting to know.

@avant-garde you do well to advocate for yourself sweet.
Yes her first impression is far from ideal and I'm not sure there's any coming back from that.
You are most definitely worth getting to know though sweetheart, I'm sorry that she's made you feel otherwise.

I'm interested to know how long @Jynx's clock chain one is because I have all these different lengths of jewellery chain in different sizes of link.
So Jynx
- How long is the entire chain?
- How long is each link?
- How wide is each link?
The length is the most important, but I'm curious to see if I have a chain that's similar.
@avant-garde @Dreamy ooooh chain chats!!
My clock chain (from Bunnings) comes in lengths of ~I think~ either 1m or 2.5m - I use pliers to separate smaller lengths though because they're too long to fidget with for much time without getting super tangled. Each link is about 1cm long, about 1/2cm wide - here's a pic!
Also got a length of flat chain from Bunnings - I like the ability to switch up the stim feels! However the sound it makes is higher in pitch so sometimes if I'm in sensory overload I will switch to my thinner jewellery chains, which I've just scooped up in op shops. They make my fingers go black though 😅

Sorry the photos are a lil dark 😅
I prefer them in loops, makes it easier not to drop/fling them around - the thicker chains are about 40cm loops (so 80cm total length) and the thinner one is about 60cm loop (so 1.2m total length).
Sometimes I smack myself in the face with the longer ones though, which can really hurt... and I have cracked my phone screen protector quite a few times... fair warning ahaha 😝

@Jynx i have multiple types aswell and switch between them depending on how i feel and what i need in the moment. I can relate to the sound when being in sensory overload, sometimes it's a little too high pitched.
I haven't smacked myself in the face, yet 😂. Note to self, keep chains away from phone screens 😂
