Re: Morning Check-in

@avant-garde yes they are typical physio tools, i guess at least you have spares now. That's what I thought when I saw the keyring ones that I made, that I could make them myself for cheaper. Oohhh one with washers would be cool. I have to be careful with metal ones cos I'm allergic to metals.

Here's the one I made with the fidget loop, it was all the left over beads and  the not so fun colours 😂.

Re: Morning Check-in

@Dreamy

I'm interested to know how long @Jynx's clock chain one is because I have all these different lengths of jewellery chain in different sizes of link.

So Jynx

  1. How long is the entire chain?
  2. How long is each link?
  3. How wide is each link?

The length is the most important, but I'm curious to see if I have a chain that's similar.

Re: Morning Check-in

@avant-garde ooohhh i wonder. My clock chain is 62cm in length but that's doubled over cos it's a loop, so if it was undone it would be about 124cm. I also have many different types of jewellery chain, I just can't play with them for too long.

@Dreamy

A spray of clear spray paint gives more of a barrier and reduces reactions.

I use clear nail polish for smaller surfaces like the backs of watches

Re: Morning Check-in

@avant-garde oohhh thankyou, I'll try  the clear spray paint.

I used to put nail polish on the back of my belt when I was a child but I still had massive reactions from it.

Re: Morning Check-in

@Dreamy

PVA glue dries clear too, I've used that on the back of jewellery

You can also get acid free spray on sealer, I've used that on some of my artwork and it doesn't make it run like normal spray paint

Re: Morning Check-in

@avant-garde yes pva glue is another good one.

I just try to limit my exposure to metals and i can only wear gold jewellery.

Re: Morning Check-in

@Dreamy

I can't wear cheap metals without getting a rash

Re: Morning Check-in

@avant-garde that's the same as me, but even sterling silver i can't wear for a long time.

Re: Morning Check-in

@Dreamy

I can do sterling silver and plated jewellery, like my medical bracelet is gold plated. I've noticed rings aren't as bad, my fidget ring is polished stainless steel.

I make adjustable cord lengths for anything I wear around my neck
