Having a tough time

So i have recently changed medication two weeks ago and im feeling not so good still but a little better not quite 100 percent yet. Ive also been dealing with neck vertigo which makes me feel unwell and not wanting to eat much and thats unlike me i love food. Any suggestions on tips and tricks to deal with anxiety atm ive just been laying in bed because I feel sick.

Re: Having a tough time

hey @Spiritmission6 it's nice to hear from you 💙

med changes can take some time to adjust to hey. if you're finding that the changes in appetite and neck vertigo are persisting and/or concerning you, pls do reach out to your GP/psychiatrist so that they can provide you medical advice.

in terms of dealing with anxiety, self-talk and breathing exercises have been helpful for me. i try remind myself that i'm okay, that i'm safe. i also like to occupy myself with my comfort activities (such as watching shows, playing with clay, building legos, etc) so i can focus on something else for a bit. do you find grounding tools helpful? 😊

I was going to suggest some slowed breathing too.

Sometimes distractions are helpful.

Maybe some colouring or other art that you enjoy?

Pop on some tunes and zone out for a bit.

@rav3n @Oaktree thanks people, I really appreciate it. Ive got good news my nausea has eased and i feel a bit chirpier than earlier. Thank goodness. Now I just hope for a good night sleep. Good to hear from you both. I started to journal today so that was good I made 21 entries I mustve needed to do it

Wow that's amazing on both counts.

I always struggle trying to journal.

My brain takes over and I can't just do a stream of consciousness.

However, I have heard good things about journalling.

I wish I had kept a diary this year while I was studying. I had so many challenging times but I overcame them all. I haven't met you before, I don't think. It's nice to meet you. I hope your evening is good and you get a great sleep.

Re: Having a tough time

First thing is to go to a GP.

Get a professional help, and your GP is the best contact to help in such situations!..

You won't get a medical advice here on this forum unlike with a GP, but sharing of information based on personal experience might give some insight!

I haven't dealt with vertigo, but I have osteoporosis of Neck and regularly take Panadol Osteo to relieve the sensitivity.
