Re: not coping

its beena a long day. the driving was actually surprisingly good though esp for the area we were in. its usually one of the busiest cities and dread going but was actually good.

i spent nearly 2 hours in with the specialist. i had 2 concerns and we went over them both.
the first one was an old injury. its hard to tell because i only had a chiro session about a month ago but shes told me i hve to stay away from it even if i find it helpful. its hard for me because she said she doesnt have enough evidence to run an mri or other tests at this point even with spinal tenderness in some places (where the injury is) so has advised to do whatever else else that i know to release muscles whether that be massage, stretches etc which i already do both regularly so im not sure.

We went over the damaged nerve in my face. I actually have 2! damaged nerves in my face. she can see there is a difference between both sides look wise-cant really remember what she called it but its because she was specifically looking for it so i gues thats good.

there arent really any options. She gave me a numbing cream to try out and she wants to me to do some extra nerve desensiting at home and then come back in 3 months for a review.
at least i know where the pains are coming from but she was just about as hopeful as me that it was going to work. shes not overly happy that the surgeon didnt do anything or more for me before this point though.
