Did you mean:

Something’s not right

Re: Not Coping

@creative_writer what you said, that was me.

Did you have family in the Airforce?

If you are a corporeal being, in a human body, then you are ALWAYS in a state of FEELING.

The human body never stops feeling.

Millions of nerves and neurons constantly sending messages, accessing your surroundings and environment. Emotion never stops.

Hungry, tired, thirsty, hot, cold. Need stimulus, lonely, need a hug.
We are human, we constantly feel.

Re: Not Coping

@Glisten I’ve had relatives in the army, not in the airforce as far as I am aware.

It is true emotions are part of being human. Some of us learn to shut down because we never had the support growing up, it feels scary reaching out but over time we have to in order to heal. I think what I’m feeling is lonely in my pain, the masking is exhausting

Re: Not Coping

@creative_writer  That’s what I was doing.

I asked myself “Who is benefiting from me masking my vulnerability?”

Re: Not Coping

@Glisten I don’t make other people uncomfortable with my emotions and I don’t have to cope with the invalidation and rejection. My social anxiety makes it hard

Re: Not Coping

@creative_writer I have found greater kindness and empathy from strangers and forum friends.

Unless someone has gone through it, they will never understand.

Re: Not Coping

@Glisten I do find it easier to talk on the forums. It’s just not easy to find people in real life who would understand

Re: Not Coping

@creative_writer also another thing we have in common.

Is best to proceed with caution in the outside world.

Re: Not Coping

@Glisten it is true we can’t trust everyone. I think trauma makes it hard to trust and feel safe around people. I know there are people out there, but it’s about finding them

Re: Not Coping
