Yeah, mum is okay in small doses. I love her dearly but she is a different person to me. Proof that horoscopes are bunkum. She and I are both Capricorns, I'm the 3rd Jan and she is the 7th. We are polar opposites in many ways and the traits of the Capricorn definitely do not align with me. I often wonder where I came from because I am not like her or my father, although a couple of times in the past she said I was like my father, and not in a nice way.

It's a public holiday here on Monday, what we used to call Foundation Day and got changed to WA Day for some silly reason. Mum invited us and her "other daughter" - my bestie - for lunch so that will be nice. Both my parents are/were excellent cooks and while I know I am good, mum is even better so we never pass up the chance of a meal at her place!

I saw a mouse climb into my cat Gypsys' food bowl, then scurry off so got a trap out. Sure enough an hour later it went off and the little horror is now in the SULO bin outside. I pray the same fate awaits your rat.
