@SandeeLWB Had a letter from both my clinical psychologist and my psychiatrist and NDIS's response was, it's not their job to prop up Medicare. I felt as though they accepted my mental illness as a disability but are not prepared to help me with it.

Spot on question.
I am getting better at asking questions and getting an idea of the background of any worker. I always give them a go, and forgive one or more mistakes, but learning more and more NOT to take other people's shortcomings personally. Its their loss, and I do not, Nobody needs to accept being bullied by people paid by govt to provide support.
What is helpful ...
Sometimes its about specific practical tasks, sometimes its about what I ask for, sometimes its about them being themselves and noticing what they do and offering it with goodwill and intelligence. Last session with my spt wkr, he noticed my car tyre was a bit flat and tried to help me with a drilling project. I had to let the project go as it was a bit experimental trying to drill holes in ceramic to make a large garden pot by repurposing old insides of a slow cooker. That he is willing to give many things a go is great, it creates a creative and trusting feeling in the relationship. He says he's got my back and backs it up with little thoughtful acts.

Have you spoken to a Local area co ordinator ?
They can help gather evidence , you have to remember to prove how it affects your functionality , social and physical ..

If you need help a Local Area Coordinators (LAC) can assist you gather evidence . They can also help you to understand and access the NDIS , create a plan – If you are eligible, implement your plan and review your plan when the time comes around – They can also help connect you to services if you are not eligible for a NDIS plan
It's important to remember that the person helping you to gather your disability evidence will not be able to tell you if you meet the NDIS requirements; only the NDIA can make this decision.
LAC community partner organisations are all around Australia. How they are each organised varies based on local agreements between State, Territory and Commonwealth governments. A list of LAC offices is here: https://www.ndis.gov.au/contact/locations

@SandeeLWB The LAC minimised my need for therapy in my plan. I was not happy. It has been a frustrating experience.
