Health insurance is going up for 65 year olds. @SmilingGecko I’m 63 atm turn 64 later this year so I’ll be impacted soon. It sucks especially as I can barely afford health insurance now, but need it in case I have to go into private hospital like for my cataracts which need to be done now so they don't take away my driving license. Need to ring health insurer on Monday to check I’m covered for cataracts. I have the top cover so I should be. The estimated excess is $750 for each eye so almost 1/2 my fortnightly pension. Will have to dip into my reserve funds for that. Plus $40 for drugs.
I’m better off than many I know but this is a big expense. I have kept my health insurance because my bipolar has gotten worse as I’ve aged especially since menopause and if I have to be hospitalised again I want to see my own psychiatrist. I like her. My bipolar is normally well managed.
It was sunny when I went for my first walk of the day and while I was watering the garden. Just went out for another walk. It is overcast atm. Thinking of going for another short walk later so have left shoes on. Watching footy.
I love lentils I make a wicked dal. I can cook when I feel like I can be bothered. I have low salt. I have to take 4 salt tablets a day which is weird because I have high blood pressure.
My GP once rang me to tell me to go straight to emergency because my salt was dangerously low. Went and told triage was seen within 20 minutes they kept me in over night. They didn’t give me any salt drip though. Last time I had a blood pressure 24 hour monitor it was fine. Average top number 117. Down from 140s so seems drug are working. I’m having another monitor put on in August. See how that goes.
Pardon the long post. Hope you have a good afternoon.

@SmilingGecko @Glisten @TAB @GezzaP @StuF @MissGremlin making a Greek salad for tomorrows' lunch and still catching up on studies.
Lots of prayer has put my mind in a great place, the only thing that really works and sticks.
Will water and tend the garden later this afternoon.
Hope everyone has a blessed day xo

I’m sitting in Northbridge- a place next to the city- with 4 men who are all chain smoking more than cigarettes.
I wish I was home 💤 asleep.
